REJOICE REBIRTH

by Daniel V. Wolff, Jr.

Before the moment of His death,
I was told not to grieve.
The taking of His last breath
Was for us, if you believe.

His body laid, entombed,
Many thought it was the end.
Yet, He ascended to resume
The precious teachings, He did begin.

He said: see my hands and my feet,
Feed me fish and honey.
I have died for each,
Suffering the sins of the many.
Rejoice in His rebirth.

His rebirth was our salvation,
Without it we’d be lost.
God’s gift to each generation,
Done at such a great cost.

Temporal death is all we had,
But His love was supreme.
He gave joy to all the sad,
Left us happiness beyond dreams.

He said: see my hands and my feet,
Feed me fish and honey.
I have died for each,
Suffering the sins of the many.
Rejoice in His rebirth.

Before the moment of His death,
I was told not to grieve.
The taking of His last breath
Was for us, if you believe.

Rejoice rebirth!
